Game Description

Story:
The notorious “Syndic8” gang are slowly taking control of the capital and have kidnapped Claire Sparks’ younger sister. Unfortunately for them, Claire will do whatever it takes to get her back and crush anyone who stands in her way! She teams up with her two friends (and housemates) – retired pro-wrestler Miller T. Williams and Duke Sancho, the streetwise bare-knuckle fighter. Together they must battle and brawl their way through the mean streets of London in a risky mission to reunite Claire with her sister.

Characters:
Claire Sparks, a student and martial arts expert, who has become unwillingly embroiled in the rescue of her sister. Duke Sancho is a quick-witted, bare-knuckle fighter from London, earning his nickname after a brawl in the Duke of Wellington pub. Not forgetting the towering figure of Miller T. Williams; a Canadian ex-pro wrestler, controversially removed from competitions for use of excessive force. Together the three friends must battle their way through the streets of London on a dangerous journey to bring back Claire’s sister!

The gameplay mechanics are sure to go down well with fans of the genre, giving players a vast array of moves and the ability to block, run, dodge, strike downed opponents, and even perform juggle combos! Each character has a unique feel and move set that the player will have to master.

Game Description

Spoiled harvest goddess Sakuna finds herself banished from her opulent celestial home to an island overrun with demons. In the untamed wilderness, she must rediscover her birthright as the daughter of a warrior god and harvest goddess by weathering the elements, fighting monsters, and cultivating rice, the source of her power. By her side in this forbidding place is her guardian Tama and a group of outcast humans. Together, these unlikely companions must join hands to tame both the soil and the demons of Hinoe Island.

Developed by Edelweiss, the indie team behind the acclaimed Astebreed, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin combines side-scrolling action with deep crafting and rice cultivation in a powerful tale about finding one’s place in the world.

The new major update (BuildID 7842265) includes the following added content and changes:

  • Implemented a complete overhaul for “Sakuna the Efflorescent”
  • Added new Spirit Boughs as rewards for “Sakuna the Efflorescent”
  • Added dishes that use ingredients that were previously underutilized
  • Added several new icons for dishes
  • Buffs for different weather patterns now take effect everywhere instead of only indoors
  • Full Throttle now correctly applies to raiment skills that cause debuffs
  • Full Throttle and Divine Maiden now correctly apply to Toxic Crown
  • Added to the divine raiment tutorial during the opening
  • Minor typo fixes

Game Features

  • Refined Side-scrolling Platforming Action: Using farm tools as weapons, chain together quick, heavy, and special attacks to take down demonic beasts, while mastering the magical “divine raiment” will be essential to grapple distant platforms, evade danger, and overcome powerful enemies.
  • Detailed 3D Simulation-style Gameplay: Learn the ancient art of agriculture by following detailed steps from planting to harvesting to cultivate the perfect crop. As a harvest goddess, Sakuna’s strength grows with each rice crop, with attributes such as aesthetic and flavor directly correlating to her combat abilities.
  • Creating a Home in the Wilderness: Sakuna’s mortal companions make weapons, armor, and meals for her using the materials and ingredients she gathers on her adventures, and completing quests for them will unlock even more options.
  • A Fresh Take on Japanese Mythology: The heroine is part of a pantheon of gods and demons inspired by traditional Japanese mythology but featuring many unique twists. The story and world are filled with lovingly rendered details, some familiar and some completely original.
